    At Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, the 19th Maintenance Group back shop was assigned an additional task of overhauling C-130J ramp actuators, which are responsible for locking and unlocking the ramp during ground and air operations. In order to overhaul an actuator, a safety fixture is required to house the actuator per regulations.

    The Department of Defense postponed their previous effective date of July 12, 2018, to July 12, 2019. Since the policy change was effective immediately, service members who were previously eligible found themselves ineligible to transfer their benefits. Travis Alton, 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron parachute rigger, won Air Mobility Command’s first Phoenix Spark Tank competition at the Airlift/Tanker Association Symposium at Grapevine, Texas, Oct. 27, 2018.
