AADD

WHAT IS AADD?

Airmen Against Drunk Driving is a volunteer organization committed to providing a safe way home for all DoD ID Card holding personnel at the Little Rock Air Force Base after enjoying drinks.  This free service is open to military members of all ranks, dependents, and civilian contractors. We are currenly providing 24/7 service.  "We Will Be There. Call 501-987-AADD (2233). Our goal is to prevent drunk driving.  You drink, we drive!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After drinks, call 501-987-2233 to let the dispatcher know your current location, number of passengers, and destination.  The dispatcher will contact a driver in your area and the driver will pick you up and safely drop you to your destination within a 30-minute radius of the Little Rock Air Force base. The driver may request proof of military affiliation for eligibility of the free service and only one person needs to qualify to use the service.

WHY SHOULD I USE IT?

We believe our Team Little Rock community should enjoy the amenities of our local area without the risk of getting a DUI.  When you call, you may request to remain anonymous.  Our volunteers do not ask for additional information aside from what is necessary and this service is completely free.  There is no retribution for calling, none of your information gets reported to leadership.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Generally, we have two volunteer positions available: Primary and Alternate Driver.  The Primary Driver will hold the AADD phone and receive all calls, coordinate with to pick up riders, and keep count of the saves.  The driver will remain on call and use their personal vehicle to pick up riders and safely bring them to their destination.  Volunteer shifts are flexible to accommodate your shifts. The rider is someone who will tag along with the driver in order to make sure AADD is utilizing that Wingman concept when picking people up. Volunteers who do not have vehicles are typically defined as riders but anyone can be a rider when volunteering. Don’t let not having a vehicle stop you from volunteering! Contact your AADD unit point of contact for more details involving AADD or feel free to contact the AADD Council.
