  • Team Little Rock prepares for semi-annual exercise

    Team Little Rock is preparing for a semi-annual deployment training exercise from April 1-17, 2019. The training is a continuation of a concerted effort to improve readiness capabilities, and will be split into two phases to train Airmen on potential scenarios that simulate deployed environments. As the next exercise draws closer, U.S. Air Force Col. Gerald Donohue, 19th Airlift Wing commander, sat down to inform Team Little Rock on what to expect.

    The military is known for its ability to conduct the mission with both joint services and coalition partners. The Military Personnel Exchange Program is an opportunity that allows foreign service members to immerse themselves into the U.S. military to promote mutual understanding and trust, enhance interoperability, strengthen air force-to-air force ties, and develop long-term professional relationships.

Jordan Oslie Unit: 19th Airlift Wing/Judge Advocate Duty title: NCO in charge of adverse actions Hometown: Apex, North Carolina Time in service: 8 years and 2 months Time at Little Rock: 4 months Goals: Make Chief Master Sgt., be awarded her second Community College of the Air Force degree, and finish her bachelor’s degree in business administration next year. Hobbies: Anything outdoors. Air Force Core Value portrayed: Integrity First How does the individual portray the core value? Tech. Sgt. Oslie understands the importance of upholding Air Force standards. She is honest above all else and kind through and through. She strives to set the example for others to emulate and tries to do the right thing even when no one is watching.
  • Team Little Rock opens welcome center

    All Airmen arriving at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, will now be met with a streamlined in-processing method at the newly established Combat Airlift Welcome Center, located in the Walters Community Support Center. The Combat Airlift Welcome Center will be one of the first stops for new Airmen arriving at Little Rock AFB and will serve as a one-stop shop for new Airmen and their families to process through the military personnel section, medical, traffic management office and finance, as well as get exposed to base helping agencies.

    The 19th Airlift Wing hosted an honorary commander induction ceremony at Hangar 1080 on Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, Jan. 31, 2019, welcoming three new civic leaders into the Team Little Rock family.

    U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Sam Barrett, 18th Air Force commander, explored the many capabilities of Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, Jan. 28-31, 2019, including Airmen’s ability to generate agile combat airlift, ensure full-spectrum readiness and embody a warrior culture.

    Name and Rank: Airman 1st Class Austin Hocog Unit: 19th Aerospace Medicine Squadron Duty title: Bioenvironmental Engineering Technician Hometown: Mongmong, Guam Time in service: 10 months Time at Little Rock: 3 months Goals: Complete CCAF and then move onto his bachelor’s. Hobbies: Enjoys playing basketball, rugby, hiking and spending time with his family. Air Force Core Value portrayed: Excellence In All We Do How does the individual portray the core value: Hocog is responsible for evaluating 158 water sample sites as well as four aircraft water points on a monthly basis. His drive for excellence within the Environmental Protection Program ensures safe drinking water for Team Little Rock’s entire population. Hogoc’s motivation and ambitious attitude are evident in his daily tasks.
  • 19th MDG practices aeromedical evacuation tactics

    Airmen from the 19th Medical Group practice aeromedical evacuation tactics on a C-130J during training at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, Jan. 24, 2019. The training provided 19th MDG Airmen with hands-on training of airlift and aeromedical evacuation tactics. This training helps support rapid global mobility by being prepared to respond to humanitarian or wartime requests assisting with preserving and safeguarding lives.

    Team Little Rock will have nearly 500 Airmen deployed around the world by the end of January 2019 from Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. While Little Rock Airmen deploy as full units containing hundreds of personnel on a regular basis in support of various missions overseas, they also go downrange as individuals or small groups on short notice

    Airmen from the 19th Airlift Wing and 913th Airlift Group headed out the door this week to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and NATO’s Resolute Support.
