New commander appointed to lead 30th AS Published Aug. 25, 2014 By 082514 LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Today, Col. Patrick Rhatigan, the 19th Airlift Wing commander, removed the 30th Airlift Squadron commander, Lt. Col. Tyson Willis, at Cheyenne, Wyoming, for loss of confidence in his ability to lead. Commanders at all levels are expected to balance many responsibilities in their personal lives and in the execution of their official duties. Col. Rhatigan's loss of confidence in Lt. Col. Willis was tied to Willis's failure to personally comply with the stringent standards that commanders are called to enforce. Lt. Col. Joey Dible has been named as the new commander.
