Herk Nation receives Moderna COVID-19 vaccine
The 19th Medical Group at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, received 400 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine Jan, 13, 2021. Initial quantities of the vaccine are limited and will be distributed on a rolling delivery basis as more doses become available.

Black Knights commit to building resilience, strengthening Herk Nation
Recently, U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein directed all wings to stand down for a day to begin a dialogue among Airmen and stemming self-destructive behavior. The 19th Airlift Wing responded with a resilience tactical pause on Aug. 14, 2019, in which Airmen could collectively take a step back from the mission and discuss pressing issues they are facing.

Don’t be bugged by ticks, mosquitoes
Summer’s here in Arkansas. People are working outdoors and having fun in the sun. From days at the lake and picnics, to camping, hiking and yard work, it’s time to feel the fresh air, catch some sun and enjoy what the Natural State has to offer. Unfortunately, some of what Arkansas has to offer this season includes some unpleasant insects such as ticks and mosquitoes that can impart disease and discomfort whenever they bite.
