The 19th Aerospace Medicine Squadron's Public Health program consists of entomology, deployment briefings, hearing tests, patient education, tracking and interviews, pregnancy interviews, and health and sanitation inspections. The mission of the health and sanitation inspection section is food safety and illness prevention. The team ensures all food served on base is 100 percent safe for consumption. They provide technical guidance to all food facility management and supervisors. They also provide an annual food-handlers training course to all managers of food facilities on base. This includes the Child Development Center, Infant Center and Youth Center personnel. When Team Little Rock personnel dine at on-base facilities they should feel confident it meets food safety standards. The 19th AMDS Public Health section secures that confidence. Here is a snapshot look at a day with a Little Rock AFB health inspector.
