Prepare for fiscal year closeout Published May 15, 2014 By 19th Contracting Squadron 19th Contracting Squadron LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Now is the time for commanders and resource advisors to identify any purchase requirements and submit the Air Force Form 9's along with the necessary paperwork to the 19th Contracting Squadron. The earlier the 19th CONS can begin working on unit purchases, the better service they can provide. It's not too early to get requirements to the contracting squadron, even if they have not yet received funding. By working requirements now, 19th CONS can get a head start on market research and other documentation required prior to award so that squadron members are better postured to execute when funds become available. Organizations should note important milestones for processing purchase requests. The following are deadlines for submission: June 9: AF Forms 9 for purchases more than $150,000, which are not on an existing contract (General Services Administration, AFWay, etc.). June 23: GSA purchases more than $150,000 and AF Forms 9 for open market (non-GSA) requirements under $150,000. July 11: AF Forms 9 for requirements under $150,000 purchased on GSA contracts. Meeting these deadlines will enable 19th CONS to provide the best possible service. Additional information concerning AF Form 9 preparation and any necessary paperwork to go along with it can be obtained by calling (501) 987-3303.
