Nikstenas was recently hand-selected to be the lead network infrastructure technician on the Cyber Mission Assurance Team. While the NCO in charge was out for eight weeks, he drove two Airmen to remediate 98K vulnerabilities ensuring a secure cyber grid on Little Rock AFB.

Additionally, Nikstenas facilitated Team Little Rock's "One Base One Network" initiative by moving 1.5K computers to a new domain eliminating the need for separate Defense Information System Network circuit, saving the DoD $1.5M annually.

According to his leadership, Nikstenas is an exceptional Airman with the utmost knowledge on network infrastructure with in the unit. Not a week goes by without someone asking him to solve complicated network problems. His eagerness and zeal to solve networking problems has made him a linchpin for the 19th CS.
