Colonel COLONEL ELISABETH A. BEAL

Colonel Elizabeth A. Beal serves as the Defense Health Agency’s Director for the Little Rock Market and the Commander of the 19th Medical Group, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. She oversees the delivery of healthcare services to more than 12,000 empaneled patients and the nearly 44,000 eligible beneficiaries in central Arkansas. She serves as the chief executive officer for an outpatient clinic offering flight medicine, family health, pediatrics, optometry, dental care, mental health, and a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. Colonel Beal ensures a ready force with fully trained, mission-capable medical professionals to directly support the 19th Airlift Wing (AMC), 314th Airlift Wing (AETC), 189th Airlift Wing (ANG), 913th Airlift Group (AFRC), and 11 tenant units.

Colonel Beal commissioned following award of the Health Professions Scholarship in 2000. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2004 from the Medical College of Ohio. For her Obstetrics and Gynecology post-graduate training, she completed an internship in 2005 at Keesler Medical Center and a residency program in 2008 at Michigan State University. In December 2009, Colonel Beal earned her Board Certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Col Beal’s previous tours include various command and leadership positions, including Chief of the Medical Staff, two squadron commands, and as a Division Chief for the Department of the Air Force Surgeon General.
