Colonel Will Clark is the Vice Commander, 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. The 19th Airlift Wing is responsible for providing worldwide deployable C-130 aircraft, aircrews, support personnel and equipment for Air Mobility Command and Air Expeditionary Force taskings while providing for the health and welfare of more than 9,000 personnel and families at Little Rock AFB. The 19th Airlift Wing, in concert with the 314th Airlift Wing, 189th Airlift Wing, 913th Airlift Group and 29th Weapons Squadron, is the nation's "Center of Excellence" for C-130 tactical airlift.
Colonel Clark, from York, South Carolina, was commissioned in 1996 after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in Military History. After pilot training at Vance AFB and Corpus Christi NAS, he began his mobility flying career in the C-130E at Pope AFB, NC, where he deployed numerous times to southwest Asia and the Balkans. Following an assignment flying C-130Hs at Elmendorf AFB, AK, he was selected as a C-130J initial cadrefor the Formal Training Unit at Little Rock AFB, AR. After graduation from the Advanced Study of Air Mobility (ASAM) program in 2008, he served as the Chief of the Program Integration Branch, Global Mobility Division, Strategic Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Force (HAF/A8PM). In 2010, he returned to the C-130J FTU as the 48th Airlift Squadron Director of Operations. In 2012, he took command of the 571st Global Mobility Squadron at Travis AFB, where he led contingency response forces with the mission of opening and operating austere airbases. Following command, he was assigned to the Operations and Plans Directorate (J3), United States Transportation Command, where he served as the Air Refueling Branch Chief, West Division Deputy Division Chief, and the Future Operations Division Deputy Division Chief. While assigned to USTRANSCOM, he deployed as the USCENTCOM Deployment and Distribution Operations Center (CDDOC) Liaison to US Forces – Afghanistan. Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Clark served as Director, Strategic Plans, Programs, and Requirements Directorate, Headquarters United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, where he was responsible for guiding USAFA Strategic planning, managing the USAFA requirements and programming process, and executing institutional donor funding.
