    The U.S. Air Force Career Skills Program assists in bridging the gap while transitioning from military to civilian employment. U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Lauren Phipps, 19th Wing Staff Agency unit deployment manager, will soon begin an internship at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library assisting in creating a library system for former president Bill Clinton’s personal library books.

    A van rumbles down hot, summer pavement as children peer out at bedtime stories coming to life. Stories centered around a parent serving a country they loved and their ultimate sacrifice to preserve the freedoms their children now enjoy. The children got this opportunity when Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, partnered up with Hearts of Our Heroes Camp to show Gold Star children different career fields and units on base to give them a glimpse of what their lost loved one might have done, while serving.

    June 6th is a date that has become synonymous with valor, sacrifice and dedication. As Operation Overlord commenced, thousands of men boarded aircraft bound for the Normandy coastline of France. As dawn approached, the feet of the men touched down as the first wave of the invasion hit. The leaders of the Allied Nations held their breath in hopes that this operation would be the beginning of the end of Nazi-controlled Europe.

Team Little Rock demonstrated its ability to perform rapid, global mobility and agile combat airlift while commemorating the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
