A unique type of recruiting recently took place at Little Rock Air Force Base. More than 200 participants trekked over five miles while outrunning zombies at nearly every turn.  The 3rd annual Zombie Run aimed to recruit members for a Zombie Resistance Army. The runners jumped over obstacles, ran through mud and even raced through an abandoned building full of the "undead".  At the start of the race, participants were given flags that represented their health. Recruits had to keep their flags from being pulled by zombies, and overcome a series of man-made and natural obstacles. The 19th Operations Support Squadron held the event which had more than 90 volunteers and raised more than $3,000 for the 19th OSS Booster Club. A portion of the proceeds was donated to the Combined Federal Campaign.
