Jan. 14 Oversleeping? An Airman was apprehended for not showing up to an extra duty shift for the weekend. When security forces visited his dorm room, they found him in civilian clothes. He stated he overslept. He was released to his first sergeant. 9-1-1 hang up Security forces received a phone call from Jacksonville Police Department stating someone called 9-1-1 and hung up. Security forces was dispatched to an on-base home where they made contact with an officer who said he was unaware anyone had used the phone in his home. Ding and run A family member stated to security forces that someone rang her doorbell and ran - three times. A sweep yielded negative findings. Jan. 13 9-1-1 misunderstanding Jacksonville Police notified security forces of a 9-1-1 call from a house on base. When they were dispatched, everything appeared in order. Residents at the home were having a party and were informed to keep the noise to a minimum. Jan. 12 Keep track of cards An Airman notified security forces he was missing a debit card and that his account was overdrawn by $700. He called his bank to cancel the card. A walk by egging A family member informed security forces someone had tossed eggs at her back screen door. Suspected DWI A civilian was stopped on base after security officers at the front gate suspected the driver of driving while intoxicated. Security forces administered a field sobriety test, which the driver failed. Jacksonville Police was dispatched and also conducted a sobriety test. The driver passed, was released and departed the base.
