Bob Oldham 189th Airlift Wing Public Affairs LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Five current and two former Arkansas Air National Guard Airmen received more than $3,500 for suggestions they made through the IDEA Program to correct deficiencies in aircrew checklists, known as Air Force Form 847. Chief Master Sgt. Donnie Richards, a 154th Training Squadron flight engineer, was the big winner with two $800 awards for changes to flight engineer Air Force Forms 847. Master Sgt. Tim Smith, a 154th TRS loadmaster, received $600 for his loadmaster Air Force Form 847 suggestion. Master Sgt. Robert Lyles, a 154th TRS flight engineer, earned $400 for his flight engineer Air Force Form 847 suggestion. Lt. Col. Greg Myers, a 154th TRS pilot, was awarded $200 for his pilot Air Force Form suggestion. Maj. Mark Millikin, a 154th TRS pilot, received $200 for his pilot Air Force Form suggestion. Two former members who retired before their suggestions were approved also received awards. Retired Senior Master Sgt. Tom Dawson, a 154th TRS flight engineer, was awarded $400 for his flight engineer Air Force Form 847 suggestion. Retired Chief Master Sgt. Donnie Sumner, a 154th TRS flight engineer, received $200 for his flight engineer Air Force Form 847 suggestion. The checklists had recently been rewritten and some omitted checklist items, while others had them in the wrong sequence.
