19th Comptroller Squadron officials have announced the move to automated travel vouchers. In accordance with a memo from Gen. Raymond Johns, commander of Air Mobility Command, dated Feb. 16, 2010, all travelers within AMC are now mandated to use automated travel voucher applications.

Officials say the use of automated travel voucher applications is expected to reduce manual workload, directly reduce voucher errors and increase prompt payment to Airmen and the Government Travel Card. The transition to the Defense Travel System to file all Contingency, Exercise, and Deployment travel vouchers, known casually as "CED orders," has already begun here. Anyone who's deployed after Feb. 1 will file their vouchers through DTS.

Members will continue to use the Permanent Change of Station In-Processing System, or PiPS, for all PCS vouchers. The PiPS program allows users to go at their own pace when filing a voucher and eliminates time spent answering questions that do not apply to them specifically.

All other non-reserve travel authorizations not above will be filed through e-Finance. The e-Finance application is a step-by-step question and answer system. Members have the option of scanning or faxing substantiating documents and receipts. Once a voucher is complete, it is digitally packaged and sent to the Air Force Financial Service Center for payment processing.

19th CPTS officials say the local finance office, in building 1255, is making every effort to efficiently implement these enhancements. Beginning April 1, 19th CPTS personnel will no longer accept hard-copy travel vouchers. In order to improve service and an easy transition, additional self-help work stations have been added to the customer service area.
