Team Little Rock honors members who recently returned from deployments with its first ever Welcome Home Warriors homecoming event today at 5 p.m. at Hangar 1080.

The event is designed to recognize individual deployers who return home through Little Rock Airport and not part of a large group, said 1st Lt. Erin Roeder, 19th Force Support Squadron executive officer.

"It's a chance for support personnel to know they matter as much as the big groups [of deployers]," said Lieutenant Roeder.

Deployers and family members will be treated to a buffet dinner during the event. A bouncy castle will be available for children.

Event coordinators are planning to hold the event every two months, but with the onset of the holiday season, the next Welcome Home Warriors event is tentatively planned for early February, said Lieutenant Roeder.

Welcome Home Warriors is open to all Team Little Rock members, even those without a deployer in the family.

"This is truly a Team Little Rock event, so anyone can come out and show their support," said Lieutenant Roeder.
