LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- At the direction of the 19th Airlift Wing and installation commander, Little Rock Air Force Base elevated its Health Protection Condition (HPCON) level to HPCON Bravo, July 23, 2021.

"Due to increasing community transmission on and off the installation, the low vaccine rates both on and off the installation, and the increase in hospitalizations in the metro area, our risk to force and mission is elevated," said Col. Angela Ochoa, 19th Airlift Wing commander.

Members are reminded that if you are not fully vaccinated, masks are required in accordance with Department of the Air Force guidance and published CDC guidance. Masks are proven to slow the spread of COVID, therefore, it is imperative that those who choose to not get vaccinated wear masks to protect themselves, others, and our mission. Everyone should continue to use sanitation procedures in the workplace and wash your hands often to prevent the spread of this disease.

The 19th Medical Group is offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to all eligible beneficiaries and personnel that live, work, and play on LRAFB.
