The 19th Airlift Wing is pleased to announce that the 19th Medical Group is offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to all eligible beneficiaries and personnel that work on Little Rock Air Force Base, in accordance with CDC guidance.
- On Jan. 4, the CDC updated their recommendation for when many people can receive a booster shot, shortening the interval from 6 months to 5 months for people who received the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine. This means that people can now receive an mRNA booster shot 5 months after completing their Pfizer primary series. The booster interval recommendation for people who received the J&J vaccine (2 months) or the Moderna vaccine (6 months), has not changed.
Vaccination Schedule:
- Pfizer Booster
The Immunization Clinic will be administering the Pfizer booster between the hours of 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. (Please note that the Pfizer Vaccination is for Active Duty Only)
- Moderna Booster
The Immunization Clinic will be administering the Moderna booster between the hours of 2-4 p.m., every Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Pediatric Vaccines
The Immunization Clinic will also now be administering the Pfizer pediatric doses needed to vaccinate the 5-11 year old age group between the hours of 2-4 p.m., every Tuesday and Wednesday.
The rise of the highly transmissible Omicron variant and the speed with which it transmits among individuals have significantly increased risk to our members. Vaccinating every eligible Service member improves readiness and, once Service members are fully vaccinated, has an immediate and positive impact on their families, neighbors, and the communities in which they serve.
