  • 19th SFS opens new MWD facility

    The 19th Security Forces Squadron held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of a new military working dog facility, June 22. The culmination of four years of planning and 11 months of construction, the $2.3 million facility includes larger in- and outdoor-runs, a dog house in each run, new obstacles, a HVAC system with humidity and air pressure adjustments and a stand-alone medical treatment station.
  • ROCKI 20-01 rolls into Phase II

    Airmen form the 19th Airlift Wing began Phase II of ROCKI 20-01 at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, Nov. 12, 2019. Phase II is divided into two sub-phases: Phase IIA stresses Airmen’s ability to survive and operate in a simulated chemical environment; Phase IIB stresses their ability to survive and operate in a simulated radiological environment.

    The 19th Security Forces Squadron has trained approximately 180 Airmen as security forces augmentees at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas since the course began in December 2018.

  • 19th SFS Airmen host ADM course for AF defenders

    A combat arms instructor wearing a fiery red hat stares into a spotting scope while a spotter and shooter team work together to aim for their target. The spotter says something to his teammate, and he squeezes the trigger.   Ting! A metal target chimes in the distance verifying to the marksman he hit the mark. The instructor yells, “Next target!”

Staff Sgt. Raines is a member of a 3-person section responsible for the evaluation and certification of over 200 Security Forces Squadron members. Due to extenuating circumstances, he has single-handedly manned the section, completed all duties, and put in countless hours including swing & mid-shift work, sacrificing family time to ensure the success of the unit.
