Thunder Over the Rock 2023
A U.S. Air Force WC-135 Constant Phoenix rests on the ramp during the Thunder Over the Rock Air Show at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, Oct. 22, 2023. There are currently two WC-135s in service, with one more expected to enter service by the end of 2023. Operated and maintained by the 45th Reconnaissance Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., in support of the Air Force Technical Applications Center’s nuclear treaty monitoring mission, the WC-135s are the only aircraft in the Air Force fleet that conduct air sampling operations for national decision makers.
