Police Week 2017

Senior Airman Coty Taylor (front) and Senior Airman Andrew Harris, 19th Security Forces Defenders, respond to a simulated call held in place for Police Week May 16, 2017, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, D.C., to participate in a number of planned events which honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
