Steven Reed, a 22nd Air Force Detachment 1 crew chief, and two 22nd AF Det 1 Airmen, reinstall a tire on a C-130H, June 25, 2014, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. Reed works 10-hour days and performs the same maintenance tasks as the military Airmen. Some of Reed’s tasks include fueling the C-130H, putting air in the tires, repairing the tires and fixing minor malfunctions on the plane.
