Making a splash
Fish jump in a net as Arkansas Game and Fish Commission employees stock the base lake with rainbow trout Dec. 15. The commission load rainbow trout in the lake each year around this time so fishermen can enjoy catching them. When waters are cold, the trout thrive; but as the water heats, the fish cannot survive. On-base fishers are required to have a state fishing license, a base fishing permit and a trout fishing stamp. For more information, call outdoor recreation at 987-3365.
