Airman receives Chiefs Sharp Troop Award
Airman 1st Class Jacob Petty, 19th Equipment Maintenance Squadron corrosion control apprentice, peels off stencils Oct. 31. Airman Petty was selected to receive the Chiefs Sharp Troop award for his job performance and education efforts. He revived five C-130 engines and halted corrosion by applying a protective coating and led 12 C-130 wheel preps, boosting supply levels above critical status. Airman Petty also earned six credit hours in aviation maintenance technology toward his Community College of the Air Force degree, boasting a 4.0 grade point average.
