2 EOD Airmen receive Bronze Stars
Col. Mike Minihan, 19th Airlift Wing commander, presents Tech. Sgt. Lawrence Lipinski, 19th Explosive Ordnance Disposal team leader with the Bronze Star Medal here Dec. 2, 2010, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. Sergeant Lipinski distinguished himself through exceptionally meritorious service while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the Overseas Contingency Operations as an EOD team leader. Sergeant Lipinski led 66 missions during his deployment to Forward Operating Base Delaram, Afghanistan, supporting Marine combat operations. His team contributed to the destruction of more than 5,200 pounds of bulk explosives greatly reducing the enemy’s main explosive charges used for improvised explosive devices.
