Team Little Rock members celebrated the Air Force’s 64th birthday at Hangar 1080 this afternoon. The Air Force's birthday was Sept. 18, but base officials decided to combine the birthday celebration with the 19th Airlift Wing's Wingman Day today. Cutting the cake (from left to right) were Col. Todd Pavich, 314th Airlift Wing vice commander; Col. Mike Pierce, 19th Maintenance Group commander; Col. Tom Crimmins, 19th Airlift Wing vice commander, Airman Basic Willy Pitts, 19th Aerospace Medical Squadron; and Col. Greg Myers, 189th Operations Group commander. Pierce is the longest serving active-duty member on base, serving since 1972, and Pitts is the newest active-duty member, joining the Air Force in April 2011.
