PRESS RELEASE: BASE TESTS EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES DURING INSPECTION APRIL 22

  • Published
  • By 150421
The base will conduct a Major Accident Response Inspection Wednesday, April 22.

Part of the inspection scenario will occur at the Jacksonville Fire Department Training Facility on Marshall Road and residents may notice base response activities in that area. Inspection activities should not cause traffic movement restrictions or affect day-to-day business for residents.

Most inspection activities will not impact the surrounding community or retirees and family members conducting business on base. Base visitors should plan accordingly because some scenarios may generate increased security measures and base emergency response actions which could result in temporary traffic movement restrictions, gate delays or warning sirens throughout the base. Base officials have coordinated the inspection with local, state and federal law enforcement officials, emergency responders, area hospitals, area mayors and other agencies.
