Part of the success of the Air Force global C-130 mission depends on a consistent supply of Airmen trained and equipped to execute the mission. The 714th Training Squadron at Little Rock Air Force Base is responsible for training aircrew students and performing student support functions at the largest C-130 base in the world. Specifically, the 714th TRS conducts training for all Air Force C-130 loadmasters.  Approximately 170 loadmasters are trained each year at Little Rock AFB. During the training, Airmen learn what it takes to successfully deliver cargo and supplies worldwide. The 714th TRS loadmaster schoolhouse has a growing number of Airmen who need training in order to transfer to the C-130J models from the older C-130H models. Along with training prior service loadmasters, the 714th TRS provides continuous professional development for nonprior service students in the initial loadmaster training pipeline. The 714th TRS, along with Lockheed Martin, lays the foundation for infusing creative technology and sustaining schoolhouse output and quality in C-130 training. Loadmaster students at the 714th TRS undergo extensive classroom training, utilize multiple hands-on simulators, and exercise operations on training flights to become masters of their craft.
