The eKnowledge Corporation and a group of National Football League players are extending their multi-million dollar free donation of SAT and ACT PowerPrep test preparation programs, valued at $200, to military servicemembers and their families for another year. Those who request the free SAT/ACT products pay a small fee to package, process and ship the products anywhere in the world. Some of the patriotic NFL players who pledged to support the eKnowledge donation program include: Jon Bradley, Detroit Lions; Scott Young, Philadelphia Eagles; Garrick Jones, Calgary Stampeeders; Corey Williams, Green Bay Packers; Jason Radar, Miami Dolphins; and Ahmaad Galloway, Frankfurt Galaxy. Now in its fourth year, the eKnowledge/NFL player donation effort has delivered more than 100,000 free SAT/ACT test preparation programs valued at $20 million to military servicemembers and their families worldwide. One parent wrote back saying, "My son used the PowerPrep Program and increased his SAT score by over 300 points and received an appointment to the United State Air Force Academy. My daughter will now be able to benefit in the same way my son has; thank you!" Charlie Beall, CEO of eKnowledge Corporation and a former Marine infantry officer, said in a recent interview: "Several years ago, we learned that many of our active-duty military servicemembers were returning to civilian life and taking the SAT and ACT exams, but they were not scoring very well. The principal reason was because they were trying to take these college entrance exams without thorough preparation. Most of them could not afford to purchase an expensive SAT/ACT test prep course or program. So eKnowledge, with the support of a group of NFL players, decided to provide the SAT/ACT PowerPrep Programs free to military service members and their dependents. We're proud of our men and women in uniform and appreciate their sacrifice for our country--it was the right thing to do for them." All active-duty military service members, veterans and their family members who would like to receive this free eKnowledge SAT/ACT PowerPrep program should visit the new website www.eknowledge.com/military.asp. Requests can also be made by directly contacting eKnowledge at 951-256-4076 or email support@eknowledge.com. (Courtesy of eSource press release)
