The 19th Force Support Squadron sports and fitness center earned a Five Star rating for the fifth consecutive year in a row, in recognition of their commitment to help Airmen stay fit to fight throughout their Air Force careers.

The Five Star Fitness Center Recognition Award is presented to fitness centers that meet strict criteria in five categories.

"It's an annual assessment determining superior achievement for those fitness center that have demonstrated excellence in the areas of operations, programs, training, facilities, and customer service," said Tech. Sgt. Chynita Morgan-Davis, 19th FSS NCO in charge fitness and sports.

After earning the award, members of the fitness center reflect on their accomplishments.

"We have to keep up to our standards, especially our fitness standards," said Senior Airman Ryan Thompson, 19th FSS fitness and exercise specialist. "We make sure the Air Force is fit to fight and ready to go for wartime."

"The airmen and NCO's at the fitness center worked long hours and some weekends to meet the deadline for submission to AMC," said Sergeant Morgan-Davis. "To be the winner was a great way to show our team that hard work does payoff."
