LRAFB receives aircraft from Hurlburt Field due to tropical storm Karen

Little Rock Air Force Base is expecting to receive a number of aircraft from Hurlburt Field, Fla., today in response to the impending weather in the Gulf of Mexico.

The number of aircraft at this time has not been set. Evacuations of aircraft during inclement weather are part of established safetymeasures and contingency procedures.

Team Little Rock services and leadership are postured to receive the aircraft and personnel with minimum impact to themission. Receiving the planes will help ensure the readiness of the units from Hurlburt Field, who will remain ready to respond to contingencies at amoment's notice.

Once the weather is cleared, Team Little Rock will assist in the departure of the visiting units and they will return to Hurlburt Field.
