The meat market at the Commissary is a vital part of Little Rock Air Force Base. A team of nine people are responsible for cutting, trimming and packaging a vast amount of meat each day. Every week thousands of pounds of beef and pork are processed. National Beef and Tyson supply the majority of the meat, which comes from farms across the state of Arkansas.
