The 19th Communications Squadron is responsible for maintaining and repairing six radio towers, some towers reaching heights of up to 130 feet. They also maintain navigational equipment for aircraft, weather and the air traffic control tower. Radar systems are in their realm as well, spanning from Little Rock Air Force Base to Little Rock and Memphis, Tenn. During their annual corrosion towers checking that bolts, nuts and other hardware are functioning properly to keep the towers operational.
