The 19th Communications Squadron knows how important physical fitness is to the warrior aspect of being an Airman. Squadron PT is not just for physical training, it increases morale and encourages team building. The physical domain of Comprehensive Airmen Fitness encourages Airmen to strengthen their resilience through focusing on fitness, endurance, nutrition and even sleep habits. The 19th CS PT session consisted of multiple workouts including tire flips, bear crawls, kettle bells, burpies and more. Squadron PT ensures that all members are in excellent physical shape not only to meet Air Force standards, but to better themselves with a challenging program geared toward improving all ranges of physical aptitude. Some of the advantages of squadron PT are that members can motivate each other, encompassing the Wingman concept by encouraging each other through sometimes grueling workouts. This also gives young PT leaders an opportunity to lead and inspire other members of the squadron. Master Sgt. Carlo Nino, the 19th CS first sergeant said that he has seen members not only doing better on PT tests, but also losing weight and increased morale. "A family that sweats together, stays together," said Nino.
