The 19th Civil Engineer Squadron water and fuel systems maintenance shop is responsible for maintenance and repair of water, sewer, natural gas, and aircraft fuel pipelines throughout the base. They move more than 500 thousand gallons of water per day through 56 miles of pipes enabling Team Little Rock members living on base to shower, hydrate, brush their teeth, flush toilets, and wash clothes and cars. Water is tested daily for chlorine and pH levels ensuring safety for the TLR community. The shop is also responsible for maintaining more than 55 miles of sewer pipes, 21 miles of natural gas pipes and 7.5 miles of fuel pipes that distribute jet fuel. The pipes deliver 4.2 million gallons of fuel from bulk storage to the flightline and on average they distribute 70 thousand gallons per day. The team also maintains the base's pool, keeping it clear and safe.
