Boil Water Noticed Issued for Little Rock Air Force Base Published Aug. 15, 2015 By 19th Airlift Wing Public Affairs LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- The water main has been repaired for on-base facilities, however a precautionary boil notice has been issued for all affected consumers. NOTICE: Until further notice, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for military family housing, the base exchange, commissary, lakeside shoppette, Arnold Drive Elementary, family/recreational camp, 19th Medical Group (B1090), and child/youth centers (B1990 and B1992) on Little Rock AFB. A loss of water pressure due to a water main break has resulted in the following precautions. All affected customers are advised that water may be unsafe for human consumption. Water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled briskly for one (1) minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled or bottled water should be used for making new ice. Prior to boiling, customers should flush their water lines by turning on faucets until water runs clear. Other non-potable uses such as bathing, showering, and handwashing do not require boiling. We will provide an update when these precautions are no longer required. A signed version of the notice can be found here: www.littlerock.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-150815-001.pdf.
