The base exercised progression through FPCON levels, Shelter In Place Procedures, and Patient Decontamination at the 19th Medical Group. Specifically, the teams responded to a domestic terrorist and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats. "As a key element of the Air Force Inspection System's (AFIS) continual evaluation process, a small team of AMC/IG professionals were on-site for a mid-point visit to observe the 19 AW Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP) in action and provide important mentorship to the Wing's IGI team," said Maj. Jason Baker, 19th AW Director of Inspections. These exercises are vital to testing processes and capabilities to ensure TLR can continue operations in a hazardous environment with minimal to no loss of personnel or resources. "What they found was a completely integrated TLR Wing Inspection Team (WIT) effort and invaluable inter-command partnerships at all levels--both of which are crucial to our installation's defense and continued excellence," Baker said.
