LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Little Rock Air Force Base unveiled its newest dormitories at a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Aug. 12, 2025, marking the completion of a project that provides no-cost housing to the base’s newest Airmen.
The new dorms, buildings 750 and 751, add 136 resident rooms, bringing the dorm campus capacity to a total of 586.
“The Air Force wants to invest in its Airmen,” said Master Sgt. Dakota Long, 19th Civil Engineer Squadron dorm management superintendent. “It's a multimillion-dollar investment that the Air Force is making because they care.”
The large-scale project was the result of close coordination between the 19th Airlift Wing and its partners, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
“With so many interacting parts, these new dorms are a testament to the cooperation that Little Rock has with its local community,” Long said.
The layout of the new dorms is designed to incorporate a social element into Airmen’s living standards by including a common area in each suite. The suites also feature fully equipped kitchens and furnished bedrooms.
“The new overall conditions speak to comprehensive Airman fitness and the importance of an Airman’s physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health,” Long said. “Surrounding them with these updated, modernized buildings helps reinforce those pillars.”
