As the 314th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron C-130J craftsman, Chain demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication, stepping up as Flightline Expediter for a week. During this time, he oversaw 53 members, ensuring the successful launch and recovery of 42 aircraft.

Additionally, Chain was also entrusted with leading two no-notice weather evacuations within a tight three-day timeframe. His expertise proved invaluable as he guided 18 Airmen through 150 maintenance actions and 32 inspections on 12 aircraft over just seven days.

Finally, his commitment to excellence ensured the safety of $800 million in assets, directly contributed to two off-station student qualifications, and enabled 36 sorties for the Wing's historic first student fly-out.
