Senior Airman recognized as National Guard's Best of 2023

Senior Airman Tabari Matthews, a dental assistant assigned to the 189th Medical Group at Little Rock Air Force Base, has been selected as one of the National Guard's Best of 2023. Matthews, who joined the Guard in 2020, sought guidance and discipline and has since excelled in his role.

Matthews' dedication and commitment to his duties as a dental assistant have not gone unnoticed. He recently had the opportunity to participate in a State Partnership Program medical mission to Guatemala, where he made a significant impact. Reflecting on the experience, Matthews shared, "Supporting this mission was a life-changing experience for me to give back and be a part of something bigger than myself. It was an honor to be able to assist in caring for the members of our state partner, benefiting the health and well-being of the Guatemalan people and strengthening the bond between Arkansas and Guatemala."

During the medical mission, Matthews demonstrated exceptional professionalism and skill, providing vital dental care to those in need. His dedication to his craft and his willingness to go above and beyond in service to others have earned him recognition as one of the National Guard's Best of 2023.
