LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. --

The University of Central Arkansas, in conjunction with Little Rock Air Force Base and Hendrix College, hosted a Salute to Service basketball game in honor of Veterans Day at the Farris Center, Arkansas, Nov. 11, 2023.

Members of Team Little Rock had the opportunity to serve as honorary coaches for both the UCA Bears and Hendrix Warriors basketball teams.

This is the second year the Salute to Service event took place in partnership with Little Rock AFB and the UCA ROTC; and included a swearing-in ceremony for more than 35 new recruits. Both the Bears and Warriors remained on the court at halftime for the ceremony, then shook the hands of each recruit.
