The 314th Airlift Wing will have a new command chief master sergeant this month, Air Force officials recently announced.
Chief Master Sgt. Brooke P. McLean joins the Little Rock team as the wing's top enlisted Airman Sept. 18. He is currently serving as the command chief master sergeant of a forward deployed base in support of the global war on terrorism.
"It's an honor and a privilege to be selected to join the Little Rock Team," said Chief McLean. "My wife and I look forward to living and working with a great group of hard working professionals training the best crews in the Air Force. And, the community support Little Rock Air Force Base enjoys is well known - the opening chapter of the book on Little Rock AFB history begins with the support of the community. We are truly honored and look forward to joining the team."
As the command chief master sergeant, Chief McLean will advise the commander and staff on matters influencing the health, morale, welfare and effective utilization of assigned enlisted personnel. He will take over for Chief Master Sgt. David Spector, who transferred to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The chief's wife, Maria, is a retired chief master sergeant.
