Chapel Sponsors “Growing Marriage” Seminar Published April 17, 2007 By to the Drop Zone LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- People may turn to their religion for a variety of reasons - spiritual guidance, seeking personal help, and often times, relationship counseling. The base chapel is working to provide relationship help in a one-stop shopping venue for members of Team Little Rock. Author, marriage counselor and pastor Gary Chapman will lead "A Growing Marriage" seminar May 5 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville Community Center. "'A Growing Marriage' is designed to stimulate strong, healthy marriages," according to Chaplain (Capt.) Bradford Phillips. Chaplain Phillips said in an e-mail that topics for the seminar will include: My mate won't talk; I don't love her anymore; If my spouse would just shape up; All he thinks about is sex; and How to share the things that bug you. Mr. Chapman states in his promotional literature that "marriages either get better or they get worse, but they never stand still." This seminar is open to married and engaged couples alike. The author said "Engaged couples will come away with ideas and insights to prepare them for marriage and enhance other relationships." He added "Married couples will benefit from insights gained at the seminar that will help them minister more effectively to their mate, family and friends." Registration is on going through May 4.
