The National League basketball team defeated the American League basketball team 85 - 82, bringing home the Intramural All-Star Game trophy Feb. 19 at the fitness center.

The National League All-Stars were led to victory by Eric Baugh, Julio Torres, James Herold, Aarron Ramos, Adrian Thomas and Zsanqwill Black.

Though they're regular season opponents, the National Leaguers agreed teamwork was the key to their All-Star victory.

"We hustled more than the other team and played together well," said Herold. "We finished our layups and had a good time."

Top scorer, Ramos, scorched the American League All Stars with 23 of the total 85 points.

Ramos said what made the difference in his game was his teammates helping him get open by screening defenders and everyone playing together to accomplish their team goal of winning.

The American League All-Stars were Christopher Delgado, Raymond Bessellieu, Joshua Clemons, Ron Bailey and Randy Hubbard.

The All-Star game featured a three point shoot out and a dunk contest as part of the festivities. American Leaguer Chris Delgado won first place in the three point shoot and National Leaguer Zsanqwill Black won first place in the dunk contest.

The league's All-Stars were chosen from the regular season intramural teams by either their coach or team members to compete in the Intramural All-Star Game.

The basketball competition was coordinated by the 19th Force Support Squadron fitness center staff.
