The Arkansas Diamonds Indoor Football League team sponsors Air Force Night Saturday evening at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock.

Gates open at 6 p.m., but Air Force equipment and members will be on hand to showcase the Air Force and talk with the general public starting at 4 p.m.

The team offers discounted tickets for military members. All attendees have to do is show their military identification card at the ticket booth to receive discounted tickets. However, special discounted tickets will be available at Hanger 1080. These special tickets are only available to Air Force members. With a face value of $25, they will be sold to Air Force members for only $9. Only a limited number will be available and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

"This is a great opportunity to tell the Air Force story," said Lt. Col. Ken Walters, the wing's director of staff and a former recruiting squadron commander. "Little Rock Air Force Base has always had exemplary support from the local community, and this is just another example of their commitment to our Airmen and their families."

Just before kickoff, Arkansas Air National Guard members will deliver the game ball by rappelling from the rafters of the arena. The base's color guard will present the colors during the opening ceremonies. Col. Michael Zick, 19th Airlift Wing vice commander, will be on hand for the official coin toss and will also conduct an enlistment ceremony at halftime. Also during halftime there will be a patriotic concert performance, a Humvee will circle the field as Air Force members launch T-shirts and other Air Force promotional items into the stands.
