DOS RollBack and the Office of the Area Defense Counsel

The Date of Separation Rollback Program may affect those whose enlistment are being denied, are currently serving an Article 15 punishment or are on a unit control roster, according to the base Area Defense Counsel officials.

"The Date of Separation rollback program may affect your ability to continue to serve and may cause you to separate from the Air Force by Aug. 31," said Staff Sgt. Anitra Tull, defense paralegal. "Furthermore, if you received an Article 15 before June 16, certain punishments may cause you to be placed on to this program."

The service of those separated under the DOS rollback program will be honorable, so they may still be eligible for the G.I. Bill (assuming they have at least 24 months of service) and other benefits, Sergeant Tull said.

Those effected by the rollback should call the ADC office at 987-3260 immediately following any notification to ensure adequate time for consultation.
