21 Airmen promoted below-the-zone Published June 22, 2010 LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Twenty-one Little Rock Air Force Base airmen first class have been selected for below-the-zone promotions. The below-the-zone promotion is a competitive early promotion program restricted to elite Airmen who stand out from their peers and perform duties at a level above their current rank. A below-the-zone promotion means Airmen are able to get promoted to senior airman six months earlier than they would normally sew on that rank. This is not only a financial benefit to the Airmen, but it also affects their testing dates required for the next promotion to staff sergeant, officials said. The selectees are: 314th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Xavier Duenas Justin Sliter Daniel Ward Erik Wells 19th Medical Support Squadron Brittani Newhouse 53rd Airlift Squadron Patrick Thompson 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Sierra Russell Jacob Quidachy Christopher Myers 19th Component Maintenance Squadron Jonathan Lynes William Singleton 19th Communications Squadron Bryan Kelley 19th Civil Engineer Squadron Allen Roby Nathan Williams 19th Equipment Maintenance Squadron Jonathan Carrero Jake Donica 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron Ebony Allen Adrian Montoya 19th Operations Support Squadron Erin Diaz Cody Wittenbach 19th Security Forces Squadron Steven Bickham (From compiled reports)
