Saving energy through IDEA program Published July 21, 2010 LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Air Mobility Command leaders are encouraging Airmen to focus on energy savings during the month of July and submit ideas using the IDEA Program. The IDEA Program awards approved ideas with tangible and intangible benefits. Each individual who makes an eligible contribution during the month of July will receive a promotional gift. In the last fiscal year Team Little Rock spent more than $8 million for utility costs. "Everyone should become aware of how much energy they consume, consider energy in their day-to-day duties and work together to make wise energy choices," said Debbie Anderson, 19th Force Support Squadron IDEA Program manager. "Efficient energy management at federal facilities saves taxpayer dollars, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and protects the environment and natural resources." For idea submission details, call Ms. Anderson at 987-3612. (From compiled reports)
