Lt. Col. Jon Julian, (right) accepted the guidon and, as such, assumed command of the 50th Airlift Squadron March 11, 2011, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. Handing off the guidon was Col. David Kasberg, 19th Operations Group commander, the presiding officer. The 50th AS and its C-130 Hercules aircraft provide tactical airlift to support Air Mobility Command missions and Central Command missions in Southwest Asia, in addition to humanitarian relief operations.
