Sending care packages to deployed servicemembers

LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- During this holiday season, we commonly receive requests from the community to accept, transport and distribute donated items to deployed military members.
For the safety of our troops and compliance with DOD policy, we cannot use our C-130s at Little Rock Air Force Base to transport care packages for deployed personnel.
However, there are several different sources designed to support this generous cause. You can visit the "Our Military" website at http://www.ourmilitary.mil/care-packages/ which includes a listing of home-front groups that provide a variety of support for military members and their families. This includes sending care packages for the holidays.
